Services/Brand identity

First impressions, built to last.

Your brand is the handshake before the meeting. I design identities that look right on a shopfront, a van, a menu and a phone screen, and come with the files and guidelines to keep them that way.

What you get

Everything a brand needs to work hard from day one. Your quotation spells out exactly which pieces are included.

  • Logo suite: a primary logo, alternative layouts and a compact mark for small spaces
  • Colour palette with print and screen values: CMYK, RGB, HEX and Pantone where needed
  • Typography: typefaces chosen and set for headlines, body copy and the web
  • Brand guidelines: a clear guide to using it all properly, for you, your team and your printer
  • Artwork for every use: vector files, print-ready PDFs and web-ready PNG and SVG
  • Stationery: business cards, letterheads and email signatures
  • Social media kit: profile pictures, headers and post templates

Going further? Signage, vehicle livery, uniforms, menus, packaging and a new website can all be added, so the brand arrives everywhere at once.

Who it’s for

Starting out

New business, new name, blank page. We build the identity from scratch around who you are and who you want to reach.

Refreshing

The brand works but looks tired. Keep what customers recognise, sharpen everything else.

Rebranding

You’ve outgrown it, merged or changed direction. A clean break, planned so the switchover goes smoothly.

How a brand project works

  1. Step 1

    Discovery

A proper conversation about your business, customers, competitors and ambitions. It shapes everything that follows.

  2. Step 2

    Concepts

Distinct creative routes, shown in context, so you can see how each one would really live.

  3. Step 3

    Refine

We take the strongest route and polish it: colours, type and details, until it’s right.

  4. Step 4

    Roll-out

Final artwork, guidelines and every file you need, plus any stationery, signage or digital pieces in your quotation.

Questions

How much does a brand identity cost?

Every brand is quoted on its outline, because a sole trader’s logo and a multi-site rebrand are very different jobs. Send me the details and you’ll get a clear, fixed quotation showing exactly what’s included.

How long does it take?

It depends on the scope and how quickly decisions get made. Your quotation includes a timeline, and I’ll keep you posted at every stage.

How many concepts will I see?

Your quotation sets out how many creative routes and rounds of changes are included, so there’s no guesswork and no awkward conversations later.

Will I own the final logo?

Yes. Once the project is complete and paid for, the final artwork is yours to use however you like. Concepts that weren’t chosen stay with me.

Can you refresh my existing logo rather than start again?

Absolutely. Often the smartest move is to keep what customers already recognise and modernise the rest.

Do you only work with businesses in the North East?

Not at all. I work with clients across the UK and beyond. Most of the process happens on screen, with calls whenever they help.

Can you design the website and print too?

Yes, that’s the beauty of one designer who does it all. Brand, print and website can be quoted together, so everything launches in step.

Ready for a brand that pulls its weight?

Send me a rough outline of your business and what you need. You’ll get a clear quotation before anything starts.
